What makes you different makes us stronger.
The goal of Pride@MC has always been to bring together and support 2SLGBTQIA+ employees across our regional offices. 2SLGBTQIA+ employees at McInnes Cooper know they have a safe space to raise concerns.
At McInnes Cooper, we pledge to establish a work environment in which every individual at our firm feels acknowledged, appreciated and supported. We strive for all members and prospective recruits of McInnes Cooper to sense that their unique qualities are encouraged and embraced.
Our Mission
- To bring awareness of and provide a voice to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community within McInnes Cooper.
- To support 2SLGBTQIA+ members in their career development, while working to gain and retain 2SLGBTQIA+ members through robust and healthy hiring practices.
- To advocate to have proportional representation employed at all levels, while creating opportunities for people who have been disenfranchised and committing to their professional development.
- To look towards existing practices and policies and advise where inclusive updates should be implemented.
- To work together with all of McInnes Cooper to create an inclusive and welcoming environment that we can all be proud to work for.
Members
Our members are proud to work with impactful pride organizations and initiatives in Atlantic Canada like The Gender & Sexuality Alliance Initiative at the MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning in Halifax and Quadrangle NL. It is a goal of ours to expand our efforts and continue to collaborate with a broader range of organizations that champion and advance 2SLGBTQIA+initiatives.
Members of the Pride@MC committee are additionally active within the firm DEI Working Group and contribute their time and knowledge in advancing McInnes Cooper’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative as part of the firm’s strategic plan.
