Sophia has a practice focused in corporate governance, commercial law, and finance and securities. She has assisted clients on a range of matters including compliance issues, prospectus offerings, continuous disclosure obligations and corporate agreements of varying complexity.

Having previously worked as legal counsel at two securities commissions, Sophia brings to her practice in-depth knowledge of securities laws and regulatory bodies. During her time at the commissions, she drafted local and national policies, decision documents, and served on various national committees. Her time at the commissions has sparked an interest in cryptocurrencies, crowdfunding, start-ups and corporate governance.

Prior to law school, Sophia worked in the oil and gas industry. Having practiced in British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba, she brings a variety of experience from working with a broad range of clients.
