Michael is a skilled lawyer with a litigation practice focusing mainly on commercial, construction and insurance disputes. Based in our Saint John office, Michael provides clear and concise advice. He is known for his pragmatic approach and ability to navigate complex legal issues and deliver solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs and interests. Michael regularly represents individuals, corporations, insurers, and other organizations in relation to a variety of litigation matters including construction defects, liens, professionals’ errors and omissions, casualty claims and product liability claims.
Michael previously practised at a mid-sized law firm where he developed a broad skillset. In addition to his litigation experience, he has experience with transactional work including purchases, sales and refinances as well as in the areas of wills and estates. His background provides him with a good understanding of other areas of the law that intersect with his litigation practice.
During law school, Michael received various academic awards including the New Brunswick Law Foundation Entrance Scholarship and the NB Trial Lawyers’ Prize in Trial Practice. He was also selected to participate in the William Henry Harrison Moot Court Competition. Michael currently speaks at the UNB Law School and has presented through the Canadian Bar Association on various litigation topics.
Michael is a member of the Saint John Law Society, Saint John Union Club and former board member of OneChange Inc. When he’s not in the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors and traveling.
