About Jonathan

Jon provides guidance to his clients as a member of our corporate and business law group. He assists his clients in structuring, negotiating and concluding corporate transactions; the purchase and sale of businesses; debt and equity financing matters; establishing and managing corporate structures; and other commercial matters. Jon’s clients include lenders and banks; private corporations; business owners; start-ups and not-for-profit organizations. He has experience assisting clients in managing their real estate portfolios with issues related to the Land Registration Act, the Municipal Government Act and mineral rights management.

Jon is an avid scuba diver with a special interest in wreck diving. This hobby has taken him across the world, including as a volunteer for a non-profit marine conservation organization.

Jon joined McInnes Cooper as an associate in 2012 after articling with the firm in 2011. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.
