About Jacob

Jacob Hatfield is completing his articles at McInnes Cooper’s Halifax Office. Jacob is interested in general corporate, corporate finance, securities, tax and energy law.

During his time at the Schulich School of Law, Jacob competed in the 2024 Davies Corporate Securities Moot in Toronto alongside 3 other Dalhousie students. The team placed third out of 13 Law schools in Canada. Additionally, Jacob was a Co-Founder and Co-President of the Weldon Arts & Music Society, a student group providing law students with a variety of events centered around the visual and performing arts. Jacob completed a Certificate in Business Law alongside his Juris Doctor at Dalhousie and was a recipient of the Clifford Rae Achievement Award.

In his free time, Jacob enjoys going to concerts, watching movies, and learning new recipes.
