About Brad

Brad is a lawyer in the firm’s St. John’s office, with a practice focused on corporate and business law, particularly in the areas of corporate finance, securities, and mergers and acquisitions. Brad regularly represents clients on the purchase and sale of businesses, securities offerings, project development and finance, and real estate transactions.

Within the energy and natural resources sector, Brad has been heavily involved with structured financings, mergers and acquisitions, and major project development in the oil and gas, mining, and wind-hydrogen industries.

Brad also provides practical solutions to debtors, creditors, monitors, and trustees during proceedings under the BIA and CCAA. Brad has been involved with some of the most recent restructurings under the CCAA in Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Brad carefully tracks the dynamic and evolving landscape of technology to ensure that his clients are well-prepared for future advancements. Brad’s acumen in intellectual property and artificial intelligence has been widely recognized, notably being featured in Halsbury’s Laws of Canada and used to shape proposed legislation to address the development of artificial intelligence.
