Andrew is a senior litigation associate who practices in the areas of commercial litigation, administrative law, and insurance law. Andrew represents clients throughout Atlantic Canada and has successfully advocated for clients before all levels of Court in New Brunswick, the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, and various arbitrators and administrative decision makers.
Andrew resolves contract, business, shareholder, and property disputes for clients through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Andrew is engaged by owners, contractors, sub-contractors, and other parties in the construction industry, to conduct and defend lien matters, contract claims including those involving delay, tendering, and extras, deficiency claims, and negligence claims. Andrew is experienced in debt claims, those involving lending, securities, financial services, and technology.
Andrew handles or has been involved with administrative and regulatory law matters ranging from energy regulation to natural resources, the regulation of professionals and industries, government licensing and other decisions, and statutory appeals and judicial reviews arising from such matters.
Andrew represents insurers in the defence of claims involving slip and falls, motor-vehicle accidents, property damage, life and disability insurance, commercial general liability, environmental liability, the defence of professionals including lawyers and financial advisors, parties in the construction industry, and other special lines of insurance. Andrew also commences and defends subrogation matters for insurers and other entities.
Andrew remains connected to the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law. Andrew has volunteered with the Faculty’s mooting program, he has guest lectured on advocacy related topics, and he has taught its Civil Procedure course to second year law students.
Outside of the office, Andrew enjoys health and fitness, golf, collecting vinyl records and all things music, politics, and sports.
