McInnes Cooper Legal Analyst, Sheila Strong, has been appointed to the Michaëlle Jean Foundation Circle of Justice Champions. The group consists of notable Canadians, from government, business, health, law and community sectors, who are united by a mission to empower Nova Scotian youth to advance peace, safety, reconciliation, mutual understanding, inclusivity and justice through creative expression.
In 2012, Sheila pledged 100 hours of volunteer service at the Halifax Timeraiser auction and began volunteering with the Khyber Centre for the Arts. She serves as treasurer for the Board, and recently referred the organization to McInnes Cooper’s pro bono program.
Sheila is the Chair of both the Live Art Dance Board of Directors, and of McInnes Cooper’s CSR Committee in Halifax. She has led the development of ongoing partnerships with organizations, like Youth Art Connection, that help youth achieve social change and career success through artistic talent.
