McInnes Cooper receives Canadian Forces Employer Support Recognition Award

McInnes Cooper was honoured this week when we were awarded the Support to Canadian Forces Operations: Domestic (Private Sector) award by the Canadian Forces Liaison Council.
We were nominated by current Halifax Article Clerk Stephen MacLean who also serves as a Naval Reserve Officer, specifically as HMCS SCOTIAN’s diving officer. His duties including ensuring that he is ready to deploy in support of Royal Canadian Navy operations, both foreign and domestic. As well he oversees a team of Port Inspection Divers who are tasked with a number of responsibilities, including counter-sabotage, battle damage repair, underwater engineering, and salvage. He typically dedicates 6 hours per week to the Naval Reserve and participates in weekend training at least once per month.
