The McInnes Cooper Building in Charlottetown, PE has been awarded The Ecclesiastical Insurance Cornerstone Award for Building Heritage and Sites by The National Trust for Canada. The award, which is shared with five other sites, is given to projects that have successfully and creatively renewed and adapted historic places in ways that enhance the community, local identity, and sense of place.
The McInnes Cooper Building, formerly known as the Dawson Hardware Building, reopened in January of 2016 and is located at 141 Kent Street in Charlottetown.
