About McInnes Cooper’s New Partners
Catherine Hirbour (Moncton) is a fluently bilingual litigator with a varied litigation and administrative law practice. Catherine regularly assists clients with insurance matters and regulatory issues for professionals. She has experience resolving casualty claims, including injury, fatality and abuse claims, and advises insurers on property and commercial claims as well as subrogated matters. Catherine also works in the areas of contractual, property and shareholder disputes.
John Boudreau (Halifax) regularly represents private corporations, institutional lenders, private equity funds, entrepreneurs and family offices in a range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including M&A transactions, acquisition and project financings, corporate re-organizations and general corporate matters.
Brittany Keating (St. John’s) is a labour and employment lawyer, representing both federally and provincially regulated employers. She provides advice and representation on issues such as collective bargaining, discipline and termination, wrongful and constructive dismissal, diversity and inclusion, human rights compliance, collective agreement interpretation and administration, and workplace health and safety. Brittany acts as chief negotiator in collective bargaining, conducts workplace investigations and provides training for managers and employees on a variety of workplace topics.
Michael Richards (Halifax) represents general contractors and subcontractors in construction litigation, specifically in the areas of construction liens, contract claims and negligence claims. He also advises on commercial litigation matters spanning various industries, including securities, financial services, technology and start-ups.
