It is with great sadness that McInnes Cooper shares the news of the passing of our friend and former colleague, John G. Cooper. John practiced at McInnes Cooper for several years early in his career, and remained closely connected to the firm through family and professional relationships.
John was a highly respected real property lawyer, remembered for his thorough, pleasant, fair and skillful manner. He truly enjoyed practicing law, and forged for himself a practice where he could exercise his quiet sense of humour and expert judgment without sacrificing his strong sense of fairness.
A model for all in the legal profession, John was also considered a helpful and patient mentor to young lawyers during his time at the firm.
Our condolences to all who knew John. The community has lost a remarkable person, lawyer and friend. He will be missed.
