We are pleased to join with more than six million Canadians, to celebrate the largest global environmental event – Earth Day. Like any large organization, our operations leave a footprint on our planet. In addition to our ongoing environmental stewardship efforts, over the past year we have:
- Replaced the Keurig coffee machines with Muldoon’s 100% compostable pods and Fair Trade Certified Coffee brewing system
- Subsidized transit passes for employees to encourage the use of public transportation
- Eliminated Styrofoam products that cannot be recycled
- Cleaned the shorelines of McNabs Island and the streets during Halifax Clean Sweep and St. John’s Clean and Beautiful
There is still much more to do. However you recognize Earth Day, and whatever you do to be green the other 364 days of the year, we applaud you and thank you for doing your part.
