P3 Project: Local Entertainment and Sports Centre (2015)

Acted as local counsel for the design-builder and also US-based operator with respect to P3 project involving the financing and design-build of new local entertainment and sports centre, valued in excess of $100 million.

Advised on a long-term operations and maintenance agreement for the facility, originally drafted based on laws in outside jurisdiction, as well as all other contract review to ensure compliance with provincial law in local jurisdiction. Also provided an opinion to financing parties and municipal government for the design-builder and the O&M operator. Leveraged project management methodologies too coordinate efforts across project teams, including lawyers representing other parties and delivering of opinions to ensure timely delivery and quality of work.
